A space for Pickering Youth ages 12-18 to grow.
Civic Action
The PYC educates Pickering youth on local politics, gives them a space to share their perspectives on current issues, and creates change making opportunities.
Volunteering
The PYC works with non-profit organizations in the community, from food banks to clothing drives, to foster a spirit of volunteerism.
Programs
The PYC offers free programs to support youth, empower them, and create a network. These include a free homework help “Homework Hub” and mentoring for youth.
Canadian Youth are 10% less likely to be interested in politics.
There is a gap in youth representation in politics. You can help change it. Join the Pickering Youth Council to connect with other teenagers, learn from others, and make a meaningful difference.
